With a World Race team, an English teacher, and a missionary
all from the U.S. gathered at SHE this week, naturally we celebrated the American
Thanksgiving holiday.
The morning devotion began our focus of being thankful
today. We are all thankful for life and the many blessings we have.
The pumpkin. |
The center smelled lusciously of pumpkin all throughout the
day. Homemade pumpkin lattes, pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin crepes, roasted pumpkin
seeds, and pumpkin custard were just a few of the delectable treats we enjoyed.
[The Thai women learned how to make these pumpkin concoctions and copied the
recipes for future SHE celebrations].
Pumpkin fruit filling |
One of the Thai women tried to convince the others that the food was "not delicious" so that more would be left over for her to eat.
Crepes |
Christmas songs filled the air reminding us that the holiday
season has begun, and we can be very thankful for our Savior, Jesus Christ.
